Fool For You Made for Love Volume 4 RC Martin 9781533414328 Books
Oh my, I finished this book yesterday and my feelings are still all over the place! And they have been that way ever since the first pages I read, aghhh!! I'll try to explain my reasons as best as I can, but it won't be easy for me, I warn you.First and foremost...the hero in this book is not MY typical kind of hero. Before continuing, I have to say this is the first time I invest myself into reading a book where the hero is an arrogant and cocky jerk. I avoid these books, and if I get into them without knowing, once I find out I put the book down. It's just a no-go for me. But this time was different, since I'm a huge RC Martin's fan and I had to try this one against all odds. I was pretty sure she was totally going to convince me to at least get to like Jude, and oh boy, not only did I like him, I loved him despite all his bossiness and huge ego!
Once I started reading, the story grabbed me and sucked me in. I started neglecting my daily tasks, going to bed at night at unspeakable hours, I just wanted to know more and more about these characters. The book is really long but believe me, you don't even notice, that's how good it is. And in all honesty, I was so glad it was this long because I didn't want it to end!
And now let me tell you some things about Teddy and Jude that might explain why I felt so torn while reading this book. I won't talk about the storyline, since it's so much better if you experience it by yourself. As of Jude, he is....a peculiar man. He is more than what you'd call the epitome of arrogant, the man INVENTED the word himself. He's cocky, bossy, he feels he's the king of the world, he gets what he wants, when he wants it, he's so full of himself and I could go on and on about him. In other words, he is my anti-hero and I even found some of his actions throughout the story were pretty questionable .
Anyway, in spite of all this I kept on going, my curiosity was so piqued, and then by a little over 20% into the book I was having all the feels...Jude was giving me more butterflies than Teddy's!! Because behind all his flaws and imperfections, there's this possesive, protective and sometimes sweet and caring guy who loves fiercely (even when it's so hard for him to admit it to himself because he doesn't believe in love), that wins Teddy's heart bit by bit with small and not-so-small details and that would go to the moon and back for her. But don't fool yourself, Jude doesn't change. He'sjust this man with so many facets, and you've got to love all of them in order to love him, or you won't love him at all. I think there's simply no middle ground with him. You just love him or hate him, that's about it. I chose the former, and that's why I loved this book so much.
Teddy, on the other hand, is this shy and sweet girl that's been hurt in the past and who is afraid to love, hence her guarded heart. She's the most selfless, caring and sweet person you'll ever know. Judah breaks all those barriers she has arround her heart and she falls really hard for him. I have to say though, to me she came up as way to weak and needy when it came to Jude. She was too easy on him. He wasn't a man of apologies and she didn't put him against the wall at times when he deserved it. I would have loved to see him doing a little groveling or fighting for her, just like the average heros do, but there's nothing average about Jude. Anyway, that would have been the cherry on top of the cake for me.
Oh and I almost forget to say that the sex between Jude and Teddy is off the charts! It takes some time, but it's worth the wait. My goodness, I'd recommend that you keep some clean panties handy while reading, you'll need them!
So as you see, I have pros and cons about this book. So why the 5 stars? Because above all, I love a book that gives me the feels, that drags me in, so much so that it was so hard to put it down, even at 1am. A book that regardless of the "monster" that it was in size, was such a fast and amazing read. Whose author convinced me to love my anti-hero when it's so hard to make it happen. RC Martin has an incredible way with words so you have no other choice than to fall for her characters, however flawed they are. This book is beautifully written, and I welcomed even the harder parts to read, when I wanted to shake some sense into Jude or Teddy or throw my ipad against the wall. As for the epilogue, it will melt your heart, so sweet.
So if you like a story with an atypical strong hero and a sweet and shy heroine, you'll like this book. This story might not be perfect, just like RC Martin said in her acknowledgements, but it taught me there's still so much beauty behind the imperfections!

Fool For You Made for Love Volume 4 RC Martin 9781533414328 Books Reviews
Fool For You by Author RC Martin is book number 4 in the Made For Love series. It can be read as a standalone novel.
"Benjamin, if I brought home every woman who has ever shared my bed, our mother might disown me."
Holy hotcakes! Fool For You set my body on fire. Judah St.Michaels is a cocky and confidant interior designer who has worked his way up in Eddalyn's Interiors, an exquisite design company owned by his aunt. He know what he likes in business and in bed. Theodore "Teddy" is the sweet girl next door. She loves her life, her friends, her job, and she is okay with her single life, especially since no man can live up to her expectations.
"You are not without fire, sweetheart-you possess a dose of wild, and it's just what I crave."
There were so many sweet spots to this book. The first time Jude and Teddy met, the heavens opened up and little baby cherubs floated out to celebrate their glorious connection. Teddy's personality was one of instant magnetism. She may have been shy and quiet at times, but she was confident in herself and her standards. She was bold and strong, and had such an attractive blend of quiet strength and fierce standards. Judah was the most phenomenal alpha-male character. As much of a manwhore as I assumed him to be, he had this considerate side and noticed the small things about people that made them happy. As such, he was totally possessive of Teddy, but made room for her to be herself, show her strengths, and highlight her skills. There was one line repeated numerous times in the book. Every time I read it, it was a one-two punch. Heart swell, heart deflate. Total conundrum. Every page made me fall deeper and deeper for this hero and heroine. If you love a book with strong characters, big hearts, and lots of heat, Fool For You is a one-click must-have!
This book was absolutely amazing! Getting to know what makes the womanizing Judah St. Michaels tick was quite the ride. A perfect mix of sexy and romantic.
Yes yes and yes!
RC Martin has done it again. I know, Rozzies, I know, her monster baby has been out for several months, but I just finally got around to reading it while I impatiently wait for more Sage and Millie (from Ms. Martin's Mountains and Men rockstar series - definitely worth a read, if you haven't ventured there yet. But before I digress further, back to Judah and Freckles. Jude is a different kind of hero, very alpha and full of himself. While we have met Teddy in other books, this does work as a standalone if you are just coming across RC Martin for the first time.
Jude is a man who knows who he is and what he wants, and is used to getting what exactly that. He knows that love is for fools, and he, certainly, is no fool. From the moment he lays eyes on Theodora Fitzpatrick, he wants her. Teddy has been badly broken in the past, and while his offer almost offends her, he does bring out some new feelings in her. The over the top, consistent flower deliveries are wearing her down, along with her gbff's not-so-subtle urging for her to live a little. When she finally agrees to dinner with this gorgeous man, he turns out to be her surprise blind date, the brother of the man her sister is falling for. Confused yet? Cuddle up with Jude, Teddy, Geoff, Harper, Ben and all the rest of their gang and go through the roller coaster of emotions this one will take you on. From impossibly romantic gestures, to hot, achy need, to pure, unadulterated frustration, Teddy's ride with Jude is one you will probably want to take again.
For an adult audience only, for sexual situations and language that would make a sailor blush, especially when spewing forth from seemingly sweet little redheaded packages.
Probably one of my favorite books by this author! I was hooked throughout the whole book. I read for 6 hours straight one day!
